A Call to the Loons!

This June, the Vermont Center for Ecostudies invites the public to experience “The Call of the Loon: A Celebration of Art & Conservation,” a community art exhibit honoring one of Vermont’s most inspiring wildlife recovery stories.

The exhibit, running June 11-21 at the Highland Center for the Arts in Greensboro, features works by more than 20 local artists inspired by the Common Loon and Vermont’s lakes and wild places. The event celebrates the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Vermont Loon Conservation Project in 2027.

A special reception and loon presentation will be held Saturday, June 20, from 2-5 p.m., featuring Vermont Center for Ecostudies loon biologists Eric Hanson and Eloise Girard. The talk will take place around 3:30 p.m.
