The annual Caspian Challenge Lake Loop and 5K road race is typically held the last Sunday in July, starting at the ball field in Greensboro (at the corner of Lake Shore Road and Breezy Avenue). The race consists of the classic, rolling 6.8-mile loop around Caspian Lake and a flat, out-and-back 5k race. The 15th Annual Caspian Challenge, sponsored by the Greensboro Association, will be held Sunday July 26, 2026; race time is 8:30am. All proceeds from the race will go to Greensboro Community projects. Registration is at information will be posted in the Spring, 2026.
