Our mission is to advance initiatives that connect and enhance our greater Greensboro community, protect our lakes and environment, and support a vibrant local economy. We welcome everyone in Greensboro who support this mission to join the Association.
In 2024, we are celebrating 90 years! In our early years, our primary focus was on protecting Caspian Lake, a vital resource for everyone in Greensboro. Today, we continue these efforts and pursue additional commitments to support a range of essential community needs and initiatives.
Dues
Individual dues are $25, which entitles the member to vote on matters brought before the membership. Your dues and additional contributions including Fund for Greensboro donations are vital in supporting our mission. As an all-volunteer-run organization, we keep costs to a minimal, and the lion share of your dues and donations are channeled to grants and initiatives.
Impact
We support initiatives and programs that the Greensboro community has identified as the important priorities. These include lake watershed protection as well as community initiatives. We also organize and sponsor community events, including the Funky Fourth, Caspian Challenge, Sailboat Racing, and the Tour de Greensboro classic skiing event.
