Over the past year, the Community Relief Fund, organized by the Greensboro Association and generously supported by our membership, has helped to provide direct aid to entities at the front lines of health care, food security, and essential services.
Your contributions totaling $64,939 have enabled the Community Relief Fund to provide $41,750 in distributions through the winter to these critical organizations: Hardwick Food Pantry, Hardwick Rescue Squad, AWARE, Greensboro Nursing Home, Craftsbury Community Care Center, Caspian Beach, Saplings Day Care, Wonder Arts, the Greensboro Free Library and the Hardwick Area Health Center.
In the first quarter of 2021, the Hardwick Food Bank, Craftsbury Care Center, and AWARE have been particularly hard hit, due to lower revenues and increased demand for services. The Greensboro Association is grateful to be able to continue providing relief in the near term, thanks to your support. Yet in the face of anticipated ongoing need, the amount that we are able to contribute and the impact we will have depends on all of us.
